Tre' Johnson, a former Washington offensive lineman and Maryland high school history teacher, passed away at 54. Johnson's sudden death during a family trip shocked his loved ones, including his wife, Irene, and their four children. Johnson's athletic career began at Temple, where he starred before being drafted by Washington in 1994. He played for Washington until 2000, then spent a year with the Cleveland Browns before returning to Washington for a final season in 2002. Standing at 6-foot-2 and 328 pounds, Johnson was a Pro Bowl selection in 1999. After his football career, he dedicated himself to teaching history at the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland. However, recent health issues forced him to take a leave of absence, leaving a lasting impact on his students and colleagues.
