Vivo X300 Ultra: Your Hollywood Dream Phone? (2026)

Get ready to be blown away by Vivo's latest innovation, the X300 Ultra, a camera phone that promises to revolutionize your content creation game!

I had the privilege of testing the Vivo X300 Pro last year, and it left me impressed with its exceptional performance and unique detachable zoom lens. Now, Vivo is back at the Mobile World Congress 2026, showcasing the X300 Ultra, a camera phone designed specifically for video producers aiming to conquer the movie-making industry. While I got a sneak peek at the phone, Vivo is keeping some crucial details under wraps, including its price and release date. However, I managed to uncover some exciting insights!

The X300 Ultra boasts a trio of cameras similar to the Pro model, and it supports an impressive telephoto lens. But here's where it gets controversial: Vivo is offering an even bigger lens option, providing up to 800mm equivalent focal lengths! This feature is a game-changer for sports and wildlife photography, allowing you to capture action-packed moments without getting too close.

While the overall camera specifications remain unclear, Vivo has highlighted its video capabilities. The phone supports 4K resolution recording at an impressive 120 frames per second from all cameras, not just the main one. It also shoots in 10-bit Log and Dolby Vision, ensuring a wide dynamic range and easier color grading during post-production. To assist with color grading, you can load LUTs (color filters) onto the phone, providing a professional preview as you shoot. This feature is typically found on high-end video monitors, making it a valuable addition.

In its press release, Vivo emphasized its color science and improved color balancing capabilities, addressing a common challenge when combining footage from phones and cinema cameras. This is an area where I personally struggled when comparing the iPhone 17 Pro with a professional cinema setup. The X300 Ultra also boasts advanced stabilization and better microphones for enhanced audio quality. However, for true cinematic results, external stabilization and microphones are often preferred.

Vivo showcased the phone with a range of Smallrig accessories, including a cage for mounting handles, lights, and microphones. While these accessories are part of the phone's ecosystem, they are commonly available components from SmallRig, so it's unclear if there are any bespoke additions for the X300 Ultra.

I'm eagerly anticipating the full reveal of this phone and can't wait to get my hands on it to test its video quality. As a YouTube creator, I'm always seeking ways to elevate my production value without lugging around heavy equipment, and the X300 Ultra might just be the answer. Alternatively, the wild robot phone from Honor is also an exciting prospect.

Which phone do you think will reign supreme for content creators? Let's discuss in the comments and share our thoughts on these innovative devices!
